Luxury yacht excursion with BBQ food.

It was a 2 hour excursion from Dubai Harbour out to the estuary and back with BBQ food provided. Free soft drinks but 60 dirham if you wanted alcoholic drinks (3 bottles of Corona). It was ok, no commentary and nothing spectacular to view but the staff were exceptionally friendly and the food was good. It’s Dubai not Europe, there are some exciting trips in Dubai but this isn’t one of them. Don’t set your scenic scenic expectations too high. The company is very professional and it was an enjoyable experience. The yacht was quite luxurious.

Cancellation by provider! 2h boat tour incl. BBQ, Sept. 18, 2026 9:00 PM In order not to be late, we were on-site an hour before the start of the “2h luxury yacht tour incl. BBQ,” we went into the office and checked in. We had to enter our names and details into a list that an employee held under our noses after we presented our ticket. In our opinion, that is where the company's mistake happened, as that was the list for the wrong boat. We received a card with a number on it; if I remember correctly, it was green. Other cards were also issued. After that, it was time to wait! Sometime after the estimated time, so also not on time and in no way friendly, we were then allowed to pass through the gate to get to the yacht. There were two yachts at the pier. On one, the BBQ was already being prepared; we were brought to the other. After we had taken our seats, it became clear to us that we were in the wrong place! We were assigned a spot on the yacht with the one-hour tour including drinks. We then pointed out to an employee on the yacht that this could not be right and then showed him our ticket. Then we had to leave the boat and go back to the office with another unfriendly employee. After asking if the boat with the BBQ preparations was not our boat, he said it was a private event! A blatant lie, because the people who were on the boat had also been in the office with their tickets beforehand, but were just assigned correctly. Unfortunately, our spots had already been given to someone else by then. After no other adequate replacement program could be offered, the next day was already planned, the gentlemen were quite unfriendly and did not bring us back to the correct boat with compensation and an apology, we had to cancel. We were quite disappointed, hungry, and due to the behavior of the two employees, also no longer friendly! The one of the two who had obviously given us the wrong list was even slightly amused. I still wonder today what is funny about ruining something for someone. We were fobbed off with the excuse that it was a system error and there is no one to blame for it. It was canceled with GYG on the grounds that the weather was bad. The weather conditions were optimal, which can certainly be found out and seen in various weather records. That was our experience with "Xclusiv Yachts Dubai Marina" PS: In the waiting area of the office, there aren't even any restrooms; those are on the boats, but you can't go there before the "event" begins. You are not sent to a shopping center in a very friendly way. It must not be urgent... so not very exclusive for me.
