The food tasted great, the fish was fresh, the scenery is beautiful, but it is too expensive to visit Iceland
markpU3827YI, October 2026
Iceland is very expensive. You pay more than you would have expected for everything and anything. I rented an economy car for 2 days and it cost me $270. Plan on spending $400 a day to visit Iceland. The scenery is nice, but I won't go back to do the Ring Road.

Brilliant day out, best day of our trip to Iceland. Helped with a fantastic guide in Lorenzo, who was friendly, informative and passionate. 4 hour hike with 90mins on the glacier gave us a great experience and appreciation of the sheer size and scale, great fun.
Black sand beach and waterfall were bonus stops and also great to see.
