Not a waste of a day but could've been better

I enjoyed the locations we were taken to on this tour however as a solo English speaking traveller I feel I probably did not get the whole experience.
?Robinson was a friendly guy ( I think I remember his name!) but between the fact that his English was not great and him spending 50% of the time on his phone, he spent the rest of his time speaking with my fellow passengers in Spanish. Any questions I had he didn't understand the English, so this made for a difficult interaction.

Great day with Robinson....

Great day with Robinson. A tiny but activity-filled peek into DR beyond the resorts. No blah blah blah, no Mickey Mouse!

Book with Robinson! He’s the best.

This was the highlight of our trip. Robinson our tour guide was amazing! He made us feel like family and we never felt pressured to tip, but or do anything we didn’t want to do which made us want to tip him even more at the end. We were able to see real Dominicana culture and go into town.

The perfect halfday tour guiding in Punta Cana
adea2013, October 2026
Pick up from our hotel was on time, in a clean spacious and comfortable vehicle with A/C.
Our guide and driver (Teo) provided guiding in English, (fluent in other languages) shared his extensive local knowledge, kept us engaged with good humour and built good rapport. Ample time was spent at each of the spots visited for Horseback riding ranch, local market, Catholic Church, Cocoa factory, Cigar factory and the Beach. Teo answered all questions asked and it was great experience day out.
Lunch included (serve yourself buffet) was very delicious and finger licking good also.
In summary, this halfday tour was excellent value for money and highly recommended.
Big thanks to Teo for guiding and providing us with a great time 👍🏾

Wester the driver is a superb guide. In the market, we had another guide, he helped to buy spices. Officer from politur the Tourist Police trailed our group in the market. It looked safe as is to me anyway, locals shopping fruits and veg, just normal life of the locals.the highlight was the plantation visit. Oh man, the cocoa! I bought three cans to bring home. Mamajuan, the baby (making) juice you can get anywhere but price is good and it’s less to carry compared to local groceries run. We didn’t swim but did walk along the sea. Beach deserves a proper day, with chair, umbrella and drinks. Zero sargassum. Tip: install Whatsapp and have roaming/internet, it will be easier to keep in contact with the driver and booking office on the day.
