The journey commences with a ride through a historic district, leading to a peaceful shrine that we will explore on foot. Following this, we'll cycle through charming neighborhoods and serene wooded areas, gradually progressing towards a tranquil Zen setting—a hidden gem away from the typical tourist paths.
During our excursion, we'll pause for a delightful traditional snack at a family-operated shop with a history spanning over a millennium. Later, we will pedal through a quiet temple complex to visit one of my preferred rock gardens in the vicinity.
Subsequently, we will leisurely ride through calm backstreets, making our way back to the starting point. The tour covers approximately 14 km and lasts about 3 hours and 45 minutes. It is designed to offer an ideal blend of cycling and walking, providing a truly distinctive exploration of lesser-known parts of the city.

Very nice E-bike tour

Our guide Sean was super knowledgeable about all the areas we visited including the culture and history. He did a very good job tailoring the tour route to the individuals in the group and was very accomodating. The ride was beautiful, the bikes were very nice and overall my son (17 y/o) really enjoyed our day.

Great tour, great guide, great memory

Sean is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide - His delivery was lively and engaging.
HIs pace was just right, allowing us to take in the history and the beauty without having to rush through the various sites he had planned.
He was also helpful and accommodating to group cyclists with various skills (my wife).
Cycling always offers more in terms of distance covered, but also allows us to see much more of Kyoto's real life. Top notch tour, recommended 100%.

First of all, Yuta is awesome! Second, everything we did on the tour was great. He made it a point to ensure we saw and experienced things off the beaten path. The way he tells stories is very captivating and made us want to learn more. Overall, 10 out of 10 experience.
