As a solo female traveller, this was a great way to see the city after dark. My guide was funny, smart, and knowledgeable. I learned so much about the food and culture and art on this trip. I highly recommend it!

Great tour for learning about Peruvian food
lilymxe, October 2026
Had a great time on this tour. Our guide, Marcus was the best and was so knowledgable. He really looked after us and the whole group had a great time learning from him and spending time with him.
To be honest, I did think the food was going to be a bit better quality than what we had experienced. All of the food tasted good, don’t get me wrong, but as the ‘ultimate’ tour I thought the quality was going to be slightly higher given how much you pay.
I do think all in all the tour is worth doing, especially if you’re trying some Peruvian classics for the first time and want to learn about them as you eat. However, don’t expect to be blown away by the taste of the dishes, but see the value for money more as a learning experience above all.
