This is an honest review for the Hula Hula trip in Hurghada: The trip is advertised as a luxury boat trip, but it is not luxurious at all. The boat was extremely overcrowded with more than 40 people on board, not counting the staff. There was no space to sit comfortably or relax, it felt very chaotic and crowded the whole time. The food was very bad, low quality and not fresh at all, not what you expect from a trip at this price. The only positive thing was the crew, they were really good, respectful and tried their best to help everyone despite the large number of people. Overall, I would not recommend it if you are looking for a luxury and relaxing experience.

The cruise was overall pretty okay. I would give it 2.5 stars, since that's not possible I'll round up to 3. Hotel pickup was okay. Once we arrived at the boat, we paid the taxes. €10 per adult and €5 per child. Be careful, no credit cards accepted. The staff was nice. The boat itself was fairly clean, but the restrooms, on the other hand, were a disaster: no toilet paper or soap available and the floor was completely wet. For the meal, I would give it 1 star, and that's only because a meal is offered on board as well as unlimited cold drinks. Very poor quality food (industrial meat, hard rice, and it had a bad taste). It is better to plan something to eat. The snorkeling stop: Positive point: snorkeling equipment provided (to be seen if cleaned after use) Negative point: you cannot move around and swim on your own around the boat. You must follow the guide who does a quick round trip followed by the photographer. The only stops were precisely so that the photographer could take photos which will then be offered to you for sale. If your goal is to admire the corals and marine life, keep moving. The beaches: 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time on each beach, mattresses and umbrellas available and included in the tickets. Hula Hula: beautiful beach, few people. But no fish in the water or marine flora because the island is exploited to the maximum. Orange Bay: beautiful beach but very crowded, music blasting. The beach is also exploited to the maximum and there is construction underway to build even more buildings. There is a small quiet side on the beach but it is a VIP area where you must pay 600 EGP to be able to access it. On the way back, the guide comes around with a small box to ask for tips, so plan on having cash. (Feeling of mandatory tipping) I do not recommend this cruise, not for the price we paid in any case.

Got picked up at 8.10am and we arrived at the boat at 8.30am, however the boat only started moving after 1h/1h30, too much time waiting We only did 1 snorkeling stop when they said it would be 2. And the snorkeling was very chaotic with very few instructions of what was going to happen and all the groups from several boats mixed in the water but great care from our guide when help was needed Lunch was ok The boat crew was super friendly and worried

In my experience. The beaches are very beautiful and the waters crystal clear BUT too dirty. I understand that this comes from the country itself, but no one from the Tour cares about being responsible. Also, you cannot walk and get lost on the beach during free time, you literally have a small space reserved per group! By the way, if you hate work, or have some autoimmune disease that prevents you from being nearby, this excursion is not for you, this has been an incredible smoking den! No one respects the spaces and this is an activity for 100% smokers. There was no space or respect for those of us who do not smoke.

The boat trip was very nice, and we really enjoyed visiting both Orange Bay and Hula Hula Islands. The only thing we were disappointed with was that we weren’t able to get the videos of our scuba diving. The crew asked us to pay upfront without showing us the videos first. They told us that the videos would be sent to us the next day, but unfortunately, we still haven’t received them.
