Oberammergau
Located on the route between Linderhof Palace and the village of Hohenschwangau, beneath Neuschwanstein Castle, is the charming artists' village of Oberammergau. It is renowned for its facade paintings (Lüftl-Malerei) and intricate wood carvings. The village is also famous for its Passion Plays, held every ten years, which reenact the final week of Jesus' life.
We will conduct a tour of the town by coach, allowing you to see more of its unique character than a brief stop would permit.
(This stop is not included in the "Neuschwanstein small group relaxed & direct" option!)
