Aurora hunters extraordinaire
Cindy_S, October 2026
I can’t express how much fun I had. Barbora, Dimitar, Alex were very efficient, highly coordinated in tracking the northern lights and provided amazing informative and fun facts and stories to share around the campfire. We got really lucky to experience a strong aurora that night and the team had been fantastic in capturing the moment for us. But most of all they were very professional and a joy to share the adventure with. 10 out to 10. Recommend

Not the best experience
danielgomezgalindo90, October 2026
They described a small group despite more than 15 people, and the event felt disorganized and rushed. I recognize the weather is unpredictable; however, I heard from others that they saw the northern lights that same night, while we seemed to be chasing clouds instead.
Response from the operator · Arcticexplorersowner Dear Daniel,
First, I would like to thank you for joining one of our tours.
The whole Arctic Explorers team is dedicated to creating the best possible experience. For this reason, we have taken your comments very seriously. The night of 9 October was no exception to our team’s commitment.
Sometimes expectations and reality do not match. A perfect example is the difference between forecast conditions and the actual weather conditions that evening. We understand our responsibility, and for more than ten years, we have worked to deliver the best possible experience every single night.
We took the time to investigate the situation and would like to clarify a few points.
Your group consisted of exactly 15 guests. We understand that expectations of a small group can differ, but the group did not exceed 15 people, as stated in your review.
All our guides carefully consider when to relocate their groups. On an evening with changing conditions and an inaccurate forecast, it can be crucial to move quickly to reach another area with a different microclimate. In this situation, our guides first reassess the weather and try to contact other guides in different areas to confirm conditions. Watching a guide multitask while gathering information from at least three different sources may give the impression of disorganisation. We nevertheless understand how important it is to explain these decisions clearly to our guests.
Based on the results your guide achieved and photographed that night, we disagree with the implication that your group missed out while others saw the lights. On an evening with changing conditions, our guides are trained to take advantage of every opportunity provided by nature.

We would also be happy to share the forecast screenshot directly with you. If you would like to receive it or share further details about your experience, please contact us at post@arcticexplorers.no. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns further.
Kind regards,
Georgi

You will have to walk...
Carla_B, October 2026
You will have to walk into an area away from the bus to see the lights. The ground can be uneven and a little slippery.
