Embark on an outdoor adventure in Tromsø and discover the Arctic wilderness on foot. You'll be transported to the scenic countryside surrounding Tromsø, amidst stunning mountains, fjords, and valleys. Here, you and your small group will snowshoe up a gentle mountain or trek along a valley with your guide. Snowshoes make walking on snow effortless and enjoyable. During the autumn months (October and November), you can admire the vibrant colors of the landscape before it's blanketed in snow. When snow conditions are minimal, the tour transforms into a hiking excursion without snowshoes.

Activity itinerary

Itinerary Northern Norway boasts a unique natural environment, showcasing changing colors and light across its four distinct seasons. This tour immerses you in these breathtaking landscapes. The adventure begins in Tromsø city center, from where you'll journey towards the western coast of Tromsø. With a maximum of eight participants, the tour offers an intimate and cozy experience. You will be driven to the countryside surrounding Tromsø. Depending on the snow conditions and weather, the walk will be conducted either with or without snowshoes. In autumn (October and November), you'll witness the colorful countryside before the snow arrives. In winter, the landscape transforms into a snowy wonderland perfect for exploration. After the drive, stretch your legs with a pleasant walk up a small mountain. The Arctic nature promises an unforgettable experience. Keep an eye out for wildlife during your hike, and upon reaching the summit, a delicious lunch will be served. Your guide will capture photos throughout the tour and share them with you afterward at no extra cost. Simply relax and enjoy the hike.

A beautiful walk in nature, our first of the season in late autumn, just before the first snow. Our guide, Gerard, taught us so much about Norway’s nature, wildlife, and landscapes. Our guide Aneta not only guided us wonderfully through the snow landscape, but also told us more about the area. We had top weather and wind and could fully enjoy the tour. Snowshoeing does not require any special prior experience. The tour was pleasant to run and requires an average fitness level. It was not favourable, but is in line with Norwegian conditions. We can recommend the tour.

Book it. Chances are, if you’re in Tromso, you already like nature - this was such a great way to see the surrounding area, some awesome views and also some of the local wildlife - raindeer, ptarmigans. Would say it’s 100% worth the money - try and get a sunny day if you can (Bring sun cream). Takes 3-4 hours in total.
