Prague Guided Tour: Old Town, Bike Ride, River Cruise and Bohemian Switzerland

A guided tour of Prague lasts from 1.5 to 13 hours depending on the option. Four are listed on WizardTrip. They are rated from 4.7 to 5.0 out of 5 and each has between 4,118 and 5,993 reviews (as of 18 October 2026).

Two outings are short: a medieval underground tour and a bike tour. Two are long: a 6-hour tour with a cruise and lunch and an excursion to Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland. A table compares them, then a list of profiles points to the best fit.

Prague in four outings: what you need to know

Three outings meet in or next to the Old Town. Only the Bohemian Switzerland excursion picks you up at your accommodation. As for languages, only the 6-hour tour offers a French-speaking guide, among six languages. The others are in English, German or Dutch.

Medieval underground of the Old Town: 1.5 hours beneath the streets

The medieval underground tour lasts 1.5 hours on foot, admission included, with a guide in English or German. The group has 25 people at most. The listing cites a medieval underground space from the 13th and 14th centuries, the alchemist’s laboratory and a dungeon with its instruments of torture and execution.

The meeting point is the ticket office, in a passage off Male Namesti square. It is 20 meters to the right of the Black Angel Bar-Hotel U Prince. Arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the start. Online tickets can be bought up to 30 minutes before. The tour ends about a 5 to 8 minute walk from Old Town Square.

Children under 6 are not admitted. The listing excludes strollers, wheelchairs and walking difficulties, because of the stairs and uneven ground. It advises against the tour for claustrophobic people. Susan gives 4 out of 5 in October 2026. She regrets that the listing does not say that “the many stairs are poorly lit and have no handrail.”

3-hour bike tour: eight stops from the Old Town to Charles Bridge

The bike tour lasts 3 hours, with a guide in English or Dutch and 18 participants at most. It departs every day at 10:30 am. The meeting point is the Mijn Praag Tours visitor center, Michalská 432/12, 100 meters from Old Town Square. The bike and helmet are included, with children’s bikes as an option.

The listing details eight stops:

  1. Start (15 minutes): adjusting your bike.
  2. Old Town (25 minutes): square, Astronomical Clock, Church of Our Lady before Týn, Jan Hus Memorial.
  3. Josefov (20 minutes): the Jewish Quarter.
  4. Municipal House (5 minutes): Powder Tower and the former site of the city walls.
  5. Wenceslas Square (15 minutes): communism, the Prague Spring, the Velvet Revolution.
  6. Malá Strana and Kampa Park (20 minutes): break at an art café.
  7. Kampa Museum (10 minutes): the works of David Černý.
  8. Charles Bridge (5 minutes): the bridge’s link with Charles IV.

The tour is canceled if the weather is bad or if there are too few participants. Food, drinks and hotel pickup are not included. Charlotte gives 5 out of 5 in March 2026. She would have liked to cycle more: “we always had the impression of cycling only 5 minutes at a time between stops.”

6-hour tour: castle, Old Town, cruise and Czech lunch

The 6-hour tour is the only one of the four with a French-speaking guide, along with German, Russian, English, Italian and Spanish. The group has 25 people at most. The meeting point is in front of Charles Bridge, on Křižovnické Square, near the statue of Charles IV. Your guide holds an orange umbrella.

The program alternates walking, tram and boat. It starts with Charles Bridge (15 minutes) and the Lesser Town (10 minutes). A tram then goes up to Prague Castle, with St. Vitus Cathedral (1 hour). The Old Town and the Jewish Quarter follow for 1 hour 20 minutes, with the Astronomical Clock.

The Czech lunch is taken in a traditional pub, drink included. A 1-hour cruise on the Vltava follows, aboard a wooden boat built in 19th-century style. The tour ends at the Charles Bridge Museum: 30 minutes, admission included.

The price also includes a tram ticket. Tips, transport to and from the hotel and any extra food or drink are not included. A vegetarian meal is possible on request when booking.

Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland excursion: 10 to 13 hours from Prague

The day excursion takes eight people at most. It visits the Czech and German national parks: Bohemian Switzerland and Saxon Switzerland. The guide speaks English. Pickup is at your hotel or accommodation in central Prague, between 7:15 am and 8:15 am depending on the option. The exact time arrives by email the day before.

The Bastei Bridge, in Germany, is part of most of the listing’s options. The rest varies:

  • Hikers: Pravčice Gate, boat through the Kamenice Gorge, Bastei Bridge. 12 to 13 hours, about 16 km of moderate walking.
  • Easy and scenic: Kamenice Gorge by boat and Bastei Bridge. About 11 hours, 6 km of walking with stairs.
  • Gentle walk: Tisá Rocks, the setting of the film The Chronicles of Narnia according to the listing, and Bastei Bridge. About 10 hours, 5 km.
  • Dresden and Bastei: Bastei Bridge, the exterior of Dresden’s old town, then free time or a one-hour interior visit of the Zwinger Palace. About 10 hours.

The listing also offers winter options, private tours with flexible schedules and a 7-hour night walk with dinner. In winter, Pravčice Gate is open only from Friday to Sunday.

The price includes the air-conditioned minivan with Wi-Fi, a morning snack, water and a lunch ordered from the menu, with a drink. It also covers national park admission and the loan of hiking poles, backpacks and raincoats. Vegetarian and vegan meals are provided. Tips and personal insurance are not included.

The return to Prague is usually between 6 pm and 8 pm. The listing refuses strollers and very large bags.

Children, wheelchairs, rain: what do the listings say?

With children

The underground does not admit children under 6. On the bike tour, an adult must accompany children; the listing cites children’s bikes as an option and baby seats on request. The 6-hour tour accepts strollers. The Switzerland excursion refuses children under 5 on shared tours, but its private tours provide baby seats.

In a wheelchair

The underground listing excludes wheelchairs and walking difficulties. The other three listings do not mention wheelchairs: ask the operator. The 6-hour tour also advises against spinal problems.

What happens if it rains?

The underground can be visited in all weather. The bike tour is canceled if the weather is bad. The listing for the Switzerland excursion contradicts itself. It states the outing runs in all weather. It also states a possible cancellation in bad weather. Check this point on the listing.
