The experience is good...
Rose_H, October 2026
The experience is good but it’s much more time in the car than expected and limited time in the desert. We got to the desert around 430pm on the second day and it was almost dark. It is a very early start (4am) the next day so limited sleep. It was also very cold at night because we weren’t given blankets and just a sheet. The desert felt rushed and I would have preferred less stops along the way and more time in the desert. It is an 11 hour drive back on the last day which is far longer than expected.
Overall it was good and the staff were friendly but be prepared for a large amount of time in the car.

What an amazing trip! The desert was magnificent and our guide Abdul R was absolutely the best- super thoughtful, great driver and knowledgeable. We were travelling as a family with teenagers and they loved it. Highly recommend!

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Sahara Desert Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Sahara Desert Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yousef was the perfect guide for our Sahara Desert adventure! This truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to be part of it.
The drive to the desert takes about eight hours, but with all the stops along the way, it doesn’t feel nearly as long. There were plenty of bathroom breaks, and the bus had Wi-Fi and charging outlets, which made the journey much more comfortable. The price is very affordable for everything included in the tour.
We started the trip with 18 strangers who eventually became friends, which made the experience even more special. Yousef was an excellent driver, always smiling and making sure everyone was comfortable.
The camel rides and watching the sunset over the desert dunes were definitely the highlights of the trip!
We stayed at Auberge Royal on the first night. The staff were very nice and accommodating. I do wish there had been an option to upgrade the hotel room, but sometimes stepping outside your comfort zone is what makes an experience even more memorable. We chose the deluxe/luxury option with a private bathroom, and it was definitely worth the extra money.
A few tips for future travelers: Bring cash for lunch, water, scarves, and optional ATV rides. Be prepared to walk and climb some steep inclines. We had to climb the dunes early in the morning while it was still dark, so this tour may be challenging for older adults or anyone with mobility concerns.
The desert camp had drinks available for purchase, air conditioning to keep the tent cool, and comfortable beds, which made the overnight stay enjoyable.
Overall, this was a five-star experience that I will never forget! I would absolutely do this tour again and highly recommend booking it. If you’re looking for an unforgettable Sahara Desert adventure, this is definitely worth it!
