Disappointing with a long journey
455nasratm, October 2026
This was an underwhelming and disappointing experience for us and the others in our tour group. We arrived much later than planned due to bad weather. We were split from our group and the camp they took us to did not have an English speaking tour guide and we were given a random person to be our guide. The food was underwhelming, and we had to ask for the festivities (music and storytelling) after dinner. Our “guide” could not explain what the program was for the evening after dinner or for the morning so we were quite lost. We asked about the music and our guide reluctantly set up the music for us and a few others with no camp fire or story telling. In the morning, we were told to be up and ready for 6am to see the sunrise and our guide was no where to be found. After asking others, we were told he was asleep and that we could go climb the hill ourselves to see the sunrise. We were also expecting to see sand dunes, as per the description, of which there is exactly one very small one. Otherwise it is like the desert outside of Marrakech. This was unfortunately a waste of two days in our opinion. In all of this, the one silver lining was our driver who was great and very helpful throughout the trip back and forth.

A Camel Experience.
coraliemM165RA, October 2026
Wonderful experience on camel ride to and from camp site. Abraham (guide) was EXCELLENT, accommodating, and took photos of us, a keepsake. Camp meals were simple and good. Water pressure was weak for shower. Van ride was long and A/C output was not adequate for amount of passengers, uncomfortable at time, suggest upgrade on A/C.
Response from the operator · Discover Sahara... B Thank you so much for sharing your experience and valuable feedback! We’re delighted that you enjoyed the camel rides, the desert camp experience, and the meals.
A special thank you for your wonderful words about Abraham. We’re so pleased that his accommodating nature and thoughtfulness, including helping capture photos for you to remember the experience, made your journey more special.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the shower water pressure and the air conditioning in the van. We understand how important comfort is, particularly during the longer drive to Zagora, and your feedback is valuable as we continue reviewing these details with our transportation and accommodation partners.
Thank you for allowing us to share the "Magic of Morocco" with you!

Worthwhile
F4041YCjand, September 2026
Worth it even if you have to ride in the car, but the camel ride to the camp makes it all worthwhile.
Response from the operator · Discover Sahara...
