The route within the Wieliczka Salt Mine involves descending 380 stairs to the first level. An elevator is available for the return journey to the surface. The temperature inside the Wieliczka Salt Mine remains consistently around 16 degrees Celsius. A significant portion of the visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau camps takes place outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions. It is mandatory to provide the full names of all participants when booking and to bring photo identification (such as a passport or driver's license) on the day of the tour. The Auschwitz-Birkenau museum has a security check that includes ID verification at the entrance. Entry will be denied without the correct full names and valid identification. We require the first and last names of all travelers for security checks and ID verification at the entrance to the Auschwitz I museum. Providing all traveler's full names is obligatory for service provision. In response to client inquiries, please note that we do not schedule 2:00 AM pick-up times, nor do we allow travelers to queue for tickets as they are pre-booked. Auschwitz-Birkenau is a deeply grounding experience & Salt Mines incredible, found both guilds were informative. This combined tirp was great opportunity to do both on the same day albeit took about 11 1/2hrs. We received confirmation of the booking, clear instructions of collection meeting place & instructions throughout the day. We opted for the lunch box, which felt as a whole was good value for money. Both places visited were quite different & the guides knowledgeable & must see’s when visiting the area. Would highly recommend.

On both parts of the day the guides made the experience.
At Auschwitz-Birkenau the guide was really informative and professional, it’s such a sobering visit and she gave such detail during every part that I left knowing so much more about the events.
At Wieliczka Salt Mines the guide had a great balance of humour and attention to detail, some of the scenery was incredible, very enjoyable visit.
It is a long day but thoroughly worth it, two hugely contrasting visits , glad I did both.

An excellent day all round. Albeit Auschwitz Birkenau was very poignant given its past history.
The pick up was very timely and the whole day ran very smoothly. The guides at both locations were very knowledgeable and imparted just the right amount of knowledge to make the whole day vert enlightening.
