The tour itself, and the guide - incredible. The pick up was really disorganised. Got a text the day before saying 5.40am (despite having booked a 7am pick up that was listed as available). Then it was changed to 5.50am. I was ready and waiting at 5.50am and the driver was over 30 minutes late! The driver had no idea about the text messages so although they'd be written as having been from him, they weren't. This is misleading and unnecessary. He was a pleasant guy but understandably felt the need to spend the first part of the journey explaining to us all how it would've been impossible to collect each of us at the times we'd been told and how it wasn't his fault. This doesn't really make one feel confident in the company, and it was very early in the morning to be faced with a lot of chatter. The minibus only had 1 seat left by the time I joined so I was sandwiched between the driver and a male tourist. There was limited legroom so it was pretty uncomfortable and the journey is 1hr+. When we arrived at Auschwitz again it all seemed a bit disorganised, and we were kept waiting while another group reached the site. On the plus side, the tickets had been purchased for us and we were handed over to our guide (who proved to be really knowledgeable and did his job with sensitivity and respect). Overall the drivers were friendly enough and got us there and back in one piece, but it was a very expensive booking and I felt the communication and pick up should have been better organised.

Had to enquire about tour night before to be told the tickets were not available, having already travelled to Krakow for this visit. Offered alternative tour but useless as we were travelling back. Local advise is to book direct with Museum and arrange own transfers which is much cheaper and reliable. We will do this next time.

Our driver contacted us the day before to confirm pick up time from our hotel and also offered a packed lunch if needed. He picked us up on time in a clean and comfortable minibus. Our tour guide at Auschwitz was excellent, knowledgeable and respectful. The tour itself is well organised and remained dignified throughout. It involves a lot of walking so dress appropriately for the weather and bring snacks/drinks as breaks were short and queues for vending machines very long.
