Activity Schedule 3 h 30 In a welcoming Salento family home near Lecce, you’ll experience an authentic Apulian cooking class and a relaxing dinner full of southern Italian charm. Located in Corigliano d’Otranto, just 15 minutes from Lecce, this hands-on pasta making class takes place in a cozy countryside Villa surrounded by olive trees. You’ll start with a small aperitif by the pool or near the fireplace, depending on the season. Then, guided by Enza and her family, you’ll learn to make traditional orecchiette and maccheroncini from scratch, using time-honored recipes passed down through generations. Dinner follows with local wine and typical dishes from Puglia, served in a warm, family atmosphere, on the veranda in summer or by the fire in winter. Vegan, vegetarian, and lactose-free options are available. Families and children are welcome. The experience ends with our homemade limoncello and the feeling of being part of a true Italian family. What a fun experience with this amazing family in the heart of the Puglia region. We made pasta, drank wine, ate our delicious pasta, laughed and connected with strangers and felt well taken care of by our wonderful hosts. Enza, her husband and daughter made us all feel part of their family. Such wonderful people in a wonderful setting. They epitomize the warmth of Italy.

We had a fantastic experience with Enza and Antonia. They were very welcoming, the aperitifs were delicious and more than enough. No shortage of very good wine. Enza’s explanation of the recipes and how to make pasta was spot on. The evening had heavy rain and lightening but they adapted with ease. I’m now looking forward to making my own pasta when I get home.

Enza and Antonio are such warm hosts. First, we were served a huge selection of regional delicacies in the garden. Then Enza introduced us in detail and patiently to the art of preparing orecchiette and maccheroncini. From the very first moment, Enza and her husband Antonio welcome you into their splendid home not as a simple customer, but as one of the family. Exceptional poolside presentation with appetizers, prosecco, and tastings of homemade local products. The cooking class was interesting, practical, and fun; it was like being in the kitchen all together for a day of celebration. Learning to knead and shape traditional orecchiette and maccheroni correctly under Enza's expert guidance was a real satisfaction; one guest received a final diploma as a souvenir: KING OF MACCHERONI. We then enjoyed the fruits of our labor in two different sauces accompanied by excellent local wine, a delicious homemade tart, and an exceptional limoncello. The food is the perfect expression of the Apulian tradition: simple, fresh, and genuine ingredients. Enza and Antonio welcomed our group of fourteen into their home and taught us to make pasta like the locals. This dynamic couple were like a warm hug. They work beautifully together to create a fun and delicious experience. Enza expertly showed us how to make two types of pasta, which were combined in two different preparations for lunch. At the end, Antonio showed us a video he had made of our time there - very special and a highlight of our time in Puglia. Highly recommend.
