Your catamaran mini-cruise begins at the Porto Cesareo Slipway, where the A Mare Salento boat awaits.
The first island you'll encounter is Isola Grande, also known as Isola dei Conigli. It's characterized by dense pine and acacia vegetation and was once home to numerous wild rabbits. It is currently undergoing wildlife restocking.
After circling the island, we'll head north along the Gulf of Taranto, tracing the stunning Ionian coast. This stretch is renowned for its natural inlets, sculpted by the sea over centuries, and its pristine white beaches backed by impressive golden dunes.
As we pass the Island at Heart, prepare yourself for the first refreshing swim stop!
· Non-stop passage
2 Torre Chianca
We'll approach Torre della Chianca, a 1570s tower fronted by a small island. This area was once a Roman port, and its inlet is still visible.
At a depth of approximately 4.5 meters on the sandy seabed, you can observe large columns that belonged to a Roman ship that sank here.
This is your first opportunity to snorkel and get a closer look at these ancient marble columns.
Following this, we'll sail past Isola della Malva, situated opposite Torre della Chianca, near Bacino Grande, an artificial basin used for cultivating mullet and sea bass.
· 20 min
3 Torre Lapillo
Our journey continues northward towards Torre Lapillo, offering views of Salento's most beautiful beaches.
We'll stop at the base of Torre di Lapillo for another swim and snorkeling opportunity. Explore the waters around the reef's base rocks, where springs create a mesmerizing interplay of light and a spectacular underwater scenery.
This location is also significant as it's where you can dive to see the statue of the Madonna dei Naviganti on the seabed, a tribute to sea victims, the Costa Concordia, and migrants.
· 20 min
4 Porto Cesareo
On our return journey, we'll make a final swim stop in a cove or inlet within the Porto Cesareo Marine Protected Area.
Here, you'll savor the exceptional clarity of our waters before enjoying a delicious aperi-lunch or aperitif.
The meal will feature authentic local products, regional wine, and a selection of unlimited beverages.

Wonderful experience!

Absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end! Everything was perfect. Our guide was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, explaining everything clearly and making sure we felt comfortable and enjoyed every moment of the snorkeling excursion.
The hospitality was also fantastic. The snacks they served were excellent, with delicious homemade food that made the experience feel even more special, and the wine was wonderful too!
Everything was so well organized, relaxed, and enjoyable. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. One of the highlights of our trip and something we would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable day! ❤️
