We had pre-purchased access tickets, which saved us from waiting in long lines to get tickets on the day of the excursion. Upon arriving at the archaeological sites, we went straight in.

This experience was amazing. Our tour guide was Pablo and he was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and kind, and truly made the entire day. Chichén Itzá and Cobá were incredible, and cenote Ik Kil was beautiful and refreshing. Our driver Angel was great and drove us safely to each location. You should book a small group with them instead of a big one for a more intimate and special experience.

Of all the tours, this one is the best organized to avoid running into a lot of people at the sites. We were lucky that our guide Tonantzi explained a ton of things to us in great detail about the Mayans, in addition to freeing us from many stereotypes that we had brought with us from Spain. She took some really cool photos of us! It could not have been better. Our driver Ángel was great. Highly recommended.

Regarding the ride, you shared a spacious, modern vehicle with only 3 other couples, 2 of whom were staying in the exact same city as you.

You reserved a small group experience with a dedicated driver and guide who navigated the roads safely, allowing you to relax without worries. It is truly disheartening to receive inaccurate remarks that hurt a small local team that worked behind the scenes from 3:00 AM until midnight to ensure your day ran smoothly. Even with a rental car, the driving distances remain identical, while adding the exhaustion of long road travel, peak sun, high toll fees, long ticket lines at each site, and routine highway checkpoints along the way.
