Great tour! Beware of the “ Mayan Experience “

The tour was a lot of fun.
The only issue we had is that it made a stop at the, “ Mayan Cultural Center “ which was a total tourist trap and rip off. We sat through two presentations about their “ special “ tequila and chocolate. Both products were ridiculously overpriced and meant to take advantage of ignorant tourists, which we were not.
It seems that Trikes Cozumel got a kick back on all the sales generated by our tour.
My suggestion to Trikes Cozumel would be to not rip off their customers if they’re looking for a 5 star review.
The tour was great, but I would NOT purchase anything at the Mayan Experience.

The stops included in our tour are intended to offer a different experience and give our guests the opportunity to learn more about the local culture.
Otoch Mayan Park does charge an admission fee, but we do not charge our guests for entering the park. Our agreement is that, after enjoying the different cultural attractions, guests may choose to purchase something from the park, which is how the park benefits from our visits.
However, no one is required to make any purchases or pay any additional fees at any of our stops. Everything is entirely optional and left to the guest's own discretion.
We take great pride in the experience we offer, and I must respectfully disagree with your characterization of our business as dishonest or as attempting to scam our guests. That is certainly not who we are or how we operate.

Trike tour.

We were a little off normal. Rain and wind altered this a bit. The vistas and back roads were scenic and interesting even in the rain. The stops along the way, were not so great. Tequila tasting, honey tasting, chocolate tasting, were all sales pitches for (my opinion) over priced goods. The 3 male dancers were well rehearsed and interesting, but it needed some explanation/interpretation of the dance.
We had no issues with the trikes but appeared to need a bit of maintenance. Missing headlight. Gauges didn't work. Nothing appearing unsafe.. Just appearance mostly.
