For 3 hours, we'll be on our secret and private rooftop in Cartagena's Getsemani neighborhood. You'll learn the most popular Latin rhythms: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Cartagena's native dance, Champeta!
While you dance, enjoy wine, beers, and our country's typical rum.
We'll guide you through the basic steps, turns, and twists of each musical genre, patiently explaining each move. Our goal is for you to truly learn.
We'll then combine the steps you've learned to create a choreography for each dance genre!
And why not? Learn the most common slang of Cartagena while enjoying a rum!
When the class concludes, we'll send you a video tutorial created by us, featuring all the steps learned during the class, in case you wish to continue practicing them afterward!

Great Cartagena Experience
Jeffrey_J, October 2026
Great intro to Salsa, Bachata and a local Cartagena dance style called Champeta. The cozy, rooftop location makes the class seem like you just came over to a friend’s house to practice dance moves. Price for classes is respectable and I highly recommend this expierience.

Bogotá is a very large city located in the high Andes of Colombia. It has such impressive buildings and such a vibrant population that it always feels dynamic. The city features so many beautiful parks, which are so natural and colorful to visit. Furthermore, the local people are incredibly friendly and hardworking. In addition, the food stalls are extremely charming and serve delicious meals. Although the city has such a busy atmosphere and some visible social challenges, Bogotá is so fascinating to explore.
If you visit Bogotá, you will have an enriching experience exploring its most historic and iconic landmarks. First, you are going to ride up to Monserrate Hill, an amazing sanctuary located over 3,000 meters high, where you will enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city. After that, you will be walking through La Candelaria, the cultural heart of the capital, where you will discover charming cobblestone streets, artistic graffiti, and a bohemian atmosphere. Finally, art lovers are going to visit the Botero Museum to admire his famous artworks with free admission, as well as the nearby Gold Museum. Visitors will definitely love every moment of this incredible journey!
My trip to Bogotá was a journey full of joy and learning. One afternoon, while I was eating a traditional arepa con queso, my friends and I decided to create a photo album in front of the incredible urban graffiti in La Candelaria. Later, while we were going up Monserrate Hill in the cable car, I gazed at the vast landscape of the city, which I had never seen from such a high perspective. After reaching the top, we walked down the pedestrian path, which was a very healthy and invigorating activity! Bogotá is special to me because it brought me unforgettable memories with friends. In fact, next year I will return to visit the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden to explore Colombia's unique páramos and ecosystems.

Fun experience that was more than just learning dance moves. There was a mini Cartagena slag lesson and it was really enjoyable. Great for couples, friends or even solo!
