1
Chichen Itza
Your day begins with one of the biggest advantages of this tour: arriving early at Chichén Itzá, before most tour buses and crowds reach the site. Exploring in the early morning means cooler temperatures, fewer people, and better photo opportunities at one of the most iconic archaeological sites in the world. Your certified bilingual guide will lead you through the most important areas of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, including El Castillo (Temple of Kukulcán), the Great Ball Court, and the Temple of the Warriors, sharing fascinating insights into Maya astronomy, architecture, and ancient traditions. The guided portion lasts about 1 hour, followed by free time to explore, walk around the plaza, and take photos at your own pace.
· 2 h
2
Cenote Saamal
After visiting Chichén Itzá, we continue to the beautiful Hacienda Selva Maya, a historic colonial-style estate surrounded by lush jungle near Valladolid. Here you’ll enjoy a traditional Yucatecan buffet lunch served inside the hacienda’s restaurant, offering a spacious and authentic setting to relax and experience local flavors. Within the grounds of the hacienda lies the impressive Cenote Saamal, one of the largest open-air cenotes in the region. Surrounded by towering limestone walls, lush vegetation, and a small waterfall flowing into its crystal-clear waters, it creates a breathtaking natural setting once considered sacred by the ancient Maya. Guests are free to swim in the cenote, enjoy lunch, explore the hacienda, or relax at their own pace during the stop.
· 2 h· Admission included
3
Valladolid, Yucatan, Mexico
Our final stop is the charming town of Valladolid, one of the most beautiful colonial cities in the Yucatán Peninsula. Here you will visit the historic center and enjoy a Mexican tequila tasting, where you can sample different varieties while learning about the traditions and craftsmanship behind one of Mexico’s most iconic spirits. You will also have time to walk around the main square, admire the colorful colonial architecture, and see the impressive San Servacio Church, located in the heart of the city. This relaxed stop offers a chance to experience the local culture and atmosphere of a traditional Yucatán town before returning.

Real iteniary
Stephen_C, October 2026
We were staying at the Marriott cancun. Pickup up at 6.45 on the road outside the hotel. Pick everyone up from there hotel and drive to a gift shop 4 hours. Demonstration of the rocks having energy and buy stuff in expensive gift shop 45 minutes. Another 20 minutes on the bus to the site. 1 hour tour at the site very good. Venus temple, main structure, jaguear temple and ball court. 30 minutes free roam. Back on the bus to the cenote and lunch 1 hour 45 minutes at the lunch and cenote stop. Food was really good and cenote was beautiful and peaceful. 30 minutes in vallodadlid tequila was very good but very expensive about 50$ for 250ml bottle. Arrived back to the hotel at 7.45pm Overall it is a long day with some really good parts but feels like a lot of time is wasted trying to squeeze more money out of you. The guide gave some good information but it became hard to trust what is real info and what is a sales pitch.

Chichen Itza really is a WONDER of the world
Emily_B, October 2026
Chichén Itzá was incredible and a must-see if you're visiting Cancun! The tour had amazing highlights, but a few things could be improved. **Transportation:** I would NOT recommend the hotel pickup/drop-off option. We spent nearly an hour picking up guests from different hotels at both ends, making an already long day even longer. The bus was comfortable, air-conditioned, and had a bathroom. We were told the bus would leave 10 minutes after the scheduled time, but ended up waiting another 30–40 minutes for a late couple. Frustrating for those of us who were on time! **Guide & Chichén Itzá:** Our guide was knowledgeable, although his English was sometimes difficult to understand. He talked for most of the bus ride, when some time to nap after the early start would have been appreciated. Chichén Itzá itself was a gem! We split into English- and Spanish-speaking groups, learned so much, and still had free time to explore and take photos independently. **Mayan Community:** A highlight was visiting a local Mayan foundation supporting community schools. I loved purchasing souvenirs there instead of from site vendors. Be careful: vendors shouting "$1" or "basically free" are using those phrases to get your attention, not necessarily offering that price! Always confirm costs before buying. We were encouraged to buy insect repellent but never needed it. **Cenote & Lunch:** The cenote was our FAVORITE part! The cool water was such a relief in the heat. The buffet was good, with familiar favorites and local dishes. Bring snacks! The time difference between Cancun and this area meant our 2 PM lunch felt like 3 PM, and it's a long day. Pack a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of cold water. **Final Stop:** The tequila tasting and town square were cute, photogenic stops on the way home. Overall, the destinations were absolutely worth it, especially the cenote and community visit. Just prepare for a LONG day, confirm prices, and consider arranging your own transportation!

Good Experience, Predatory Company
Timothy_T, October 2026
This whole trip was a marketing scheme between satmexico tour guides and the fake “artisan” markets. All the stops were at markets designed to lure tourists into spending money on “my family this my family that, my culture”. All 100% verifiable BS. Just ask google, who has nothing to gain. Never trust anyone who makes money off of you. Honestly just cancel this tour and book off of costco or world2meet for better pricing, better customer service and better peace mind. Nothing to lose if you do that
Response from the operator · Voyager34762090630
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience left you with this impression. Our tours include cultural and local stops intended to complement the visit to the archaeological sites and cenotes. These stops are not meant to pressure guests into making purchases, and shopping is always optional. That said, we understand that if these stops are not clearly explained in advance, they can feel very different from what a traveler expected when booking. We take that concern seriously and continue reviewing how the itinerary and additional stops are described. We also want to clarify that our guides and operating team are focused on providing transportation, guidance and coordination throughout the day; guests are never required to purchase products at any of the stops. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to improve how the experience is communicated before departure.

Fun activities, uncomfortable transportation
Amy_T, October 2026
The excursions were informative and interesting but the bus was extremely uncomfortable and the seatbelts did not work. Additionally, after a 12 hour excursion, there were no nearby restrooms available for non guests at the drop off location.
