2 Khor Virap
Khor Virap is Armenia's most revered pilgrimage destination, intrinsically linked to the adoption of Christianity.
Christianity was established as the state religion in 301 AD, largely due to the efforts of Saint Gregory the Illuminator.
He was imprisoned in a dungeon on this site before converting King Trdat III, and a church was later constructed atop the dungeon in the 17th century.
The monastery provides magnificent views of the biblical Mount Ararat.

Noravank comprises the churches of St. Karapet and St. Gregory the Illuminator, along with the two-story Church of St. Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God), notable for its exceptional structural and sculptural details.

Informative tour

Driver Karen did a good job driving quickly and smoothly.
Tour guide Eduard also did a good job explaining and guiding everything. He answered all questions and provided good information - both logistical and informational, and about the locations we pass on the way as well as the sites we visit.
Wine tasting at Hin Areni was especially great and I got to learn a lot about the wine in specific.
All the spots were good to visit, and we had enough time at each spot. Overall I recommend this tour.

Love, warmth, penetration.
levona776, October 2026
First, I want to note the high professionalism and quality of work of the driver Arabik and the guide Mariam. Plus to that, their responsiveness and sensitivity throughout the tour gave the feeling as if they were old friends. Every question received not a dry, banal, informative answer, but led to a lively and interesting conversation and even sometimes to a discussion, and certainly led to a deep and expanded understanding of the question. We express high gratitude to Ramka and Mariam and the entire company on behalf of the whole group, with best wishes for their work and the development of the entire company. Levon and his family.
