Sevan
The flight tour commences with a pre-arranged reservation. Your pilot-instructor will assess weather conditions and propose suitable flight times and locations. Your day starts with a meeting with your pilot in Yerevan at Hostel Glide, located at Kalents str. 16/1. Following this, you and your pilot will travel in comfortable transport to the launch site. Potential locations include Aparan, Lake Sevan, Buzhakan, Mt. Atis, Haghartsin, Yeghvard, Garni, or Vedi. Upon arrival at the launch site, situated between 2000 and 2800 meters above sea level, your pilot will provide essential instructions for a smooth takeoff and landing. Next, you'll both put on harnesses and helmets to prepare for the flight. The process is straightforward: the pilot will get the glider airborne, and your main task is to run forward without sitting down or jumping. Please wear sportswear for your flight. It's also recommended to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and a positive attitude.

When a Dream Takes Flight

I would like to share my unforgettable experience of paragliding, organized by SkyClub. It was not simply a flight — it became a truly special journey into a feeling of freedom, trust, and faith in people. The flight was a gift from my students for my 50th birthday. I had been dreaming about flying on a paraglider for many years, and this wonderful gift finally made my dream come true. I am incredibly grateful to them for that! A very special thank you goes to my instructor, Sergey — such a charming, kind, and wonderful person, as well as a true professional. I felt completely comfortable and safe with him. Perhaps one of the strongest impressions for me was the feeling of complete trust in the person you are flying with. You entrust your life to someone you have only just met, and somehow this experience brings back your faith in people — in their kindness, sincerity, purity, and genuine care. When I was asked what the flight gave me, I realized that it gave me so much. First of all, it gave me an incredible feeling of freedom. Freedom from the ground, from everyday worries and routine thoughts. Just you, the sky, the wind, and the breathtaking beauty all around you. We had a wonderful time even before the flight itself. We were comfortably driven to the launch site, and the waiting time passed so quickly and pleasantly. I could simply lie on the grass and look at Lake Sevan, watching it change its color depending on the wind and the light. And especially beautiful was the sky, where one paraglider after another took off — dozens of them, in all different colors. Young, future paragliders were training there, and it was fascinating to watch them learning to conquer the sky. Thank you so much to the entire SkyClub team for such a beautifully organized experience, for your care, professionalism, and, most importantly, for giving me such indescribable pleasure! And to my students — a very special and heartfelt thank you for giving me not just a flight, but the fulfillment of a dream I had carried in my heart for many years.
