Beware of the Buggy Rides

It took me a while to write this review because I needed time heal, both physically and emotionally. I visited Punta Cana with my family. The beach was full of seaweed, so our family decided to visit this ranch that was highly recommended by the Hotel's travel agency. The food was good and the zip-lining experience was fine, but the horses looked weak. Unfortunately, the buggy ride turned into a nightmare. The buggies were malfunctioning, and no face masks were provided to prevent dirt from flying into your eyes, ears, nose and face. Although you can buy it, it should be mandatory to have a face mask. The most frighting part was when the buggy lost control and started to roll over on my side while I was sitting on the passenger side. (I used the buggy the first 5 minutes and felt uncomfortable with break and gas). At that moment, I put my leg out to stop it, but unfortunately, the roof landed on my lower leg, leaving me with three broken bones and cuts to my skin. To make matters worse, no one spoke English, even the nurse at the ranch. The hospital was another ordeal that I won't get into here. Thankfully, I was able to fly back to the US the next day and did not have my surgery there. It took me 6 month to walk and drive. Be careful if you decide to participate in the buggy rides. Make sure the vehicle is in good condition and if the break and gas does not feel right, stop! Also, make sure to bring your face mask or buy one when you get there. I strongly urge the ranch to inspect and maintain its buggies properly and take the safety of its visitors seriously. Thank you RM

We had an amazing time at La Hacienda Park! Everything was super fun and definitely worth the money. A huge shoutout to Frank, our guide, who was awesome! He guided us through everything, took pictures of us throughout the activities, and made the experience even better. The pickup was smooth and right on time. The ride back was a little bumpy, but nothing too crazy. They also had drinks available, and the traditional Dominican food was delicious! Overall, everything was well organized, the activities were a blast, and we had such a great time. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to the Dominican Republic! Highly recommend!
