Absolutely a must !

Dael was an excellent market guide and chef. We all thoroughly enjoyed walking the market, sampling chocolate, cheese and local fruits , learning about produce and selecting items for our cooking class.
The studio is about a 10 minute walk from the market and is on the top floor of a courtyard building.
We made Pisco Sours from passion fruit juice and hibiscus syrup, which we sipped as we prepared ceviche , soup , stuffed peppers , individual cheese and potato pies and dessert gnocchi.
We ate together at a big table course by course.
Totally recommend!

Fun and interesting culinary experience in Peru
Swati_T, October 2026
Fun experience starting with the local market visit and introduction to local fruits vegetables meats and cheeses. The kitchen is well planned for teaching and entertaining, very beautifully designed. The cooking class starts with 3 kinds of ceviche Recipes taught. The chef was very friendly and taught us with good cooking techniques which helped us learn the recipes easily. Other recipes include soup, entrees and desert recipes. All the recipes were explained hands on and my husband and I enjoyed cooking with our chef. We also made the traditional Pisco sour drink and were served chicho morada and wine!

Fantastic gastronomic experience

We (a party of two couples) met Mauricio at the market and he took us around the various food stalls and explained all the unusual fruit and vegetables. Then we walked to the cookery studio which was very attractive and clean. We were all given aprons and then we made a Pisco sour cocktail followed by a three course meal which we helped prepare and cook. And of course we got to eat it!! The whole experience was 4 hrs long and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Would highly recommend this session as a way to experience true Peruvian gastronomy. Loved it!
