We depart from Marina Vallarta at approximately 9:00 AM. Just 10 minutes into our journey, we reach the mouth of the Ameca River. This scenic spot is also a prime location for spotting dolphins during their morning feeding.
Around one hour into our trip, we will arrive at the islands. During the winter months, the journey itself becomes an integral part of the adventure, as the ocean frequently offers incredible wildlife sightings, including dolphins, sea turtles, manta rays, and even whales.
Upon reaching the islands, you will be provided with snorkel gear and life jackets. Our team will guide you on the proper use of the equipment and share tips to enhance your in-water skills, ensuring a fun and safe snorkeling experience.

The harbor fee must be paid in cash at the time of check-in (100 pesos or 6 USD per person).
The Hidden Beach fee (600 pesos per person) must be paid upon arrival. This fee is refundable only if there are no available spots or if high tide prevents access to the island.
We are located in Marina Vallarta, where you will find many options for food, drinks, and shopping. We highly recommend bringing extra cash for souvenirs or other nearby attractions.

A tense and unpleasant tour

This was, unfortunately, the worst experience of all the tours we have taken since we arrived in Mexico. The main reason was our guide, Gustavo (“Gus”). In our experience, he did not demonstrate the communication or customer service skills necessary to lead this type of excursion.
When my husband asked him a simple question to clarify how long we could stay on the beach, Gustavo reacted in a very annoyed and aggressive manner. From that point on, the atmosphere became uncomfortable and tense.
During the tour, he also complained repeatedly to us about the other couples in the group. He even accused a couple of having taken his snorkel gear, when in reality he himself had handed it to them. He also criticized the poor quality of the food provided by the tour itself in front of all the participants. All of this made an experience that should have been fun and special turn out unpleasant.
Furthermore, the snorkel gear they provided us did not work correctly. The mouthpiece filled with water every time we tried to breathe, which made it very difficult to enjoy the snorkeling time.
Finally, when making the reservation, I clearly indicated that I needed gluten-free food due to a food allergy. Despite having paid for lunch, I was not provided with any gluten-free options.
Between the price of the tour and all the additional charges, this experience cost my husband and me more than 250 dollars. Considering the service received, the defective equipment, and the lack of attention to a dietary need communicated in advance, it was definitely not worth it. We cannot recommend this experience.

Carlos and Hector were awesome. They showed us wild life on the way out of the marina and along the way educated us on the Booby Birds and another bird I can’t remember the name of but these birds were diving into the water from about 20’ up around the boat for fish. It was pretty cool
Then they really helped my daughter out going thru the cave. Helped calm her down and got her thru safe.
