Your local street food guide, passionate about Vietnamese cuisine, will pick you up by taxi from your hotel. You'll then leave the tourist hubs behind and begin your culinary adventure in a non-touristy district, a true street food haven. Here, you'll taste ‘Banh Xeo” and “Banh Khot” – the signature rice pancakes of Central and Southern Vietnam, served with a generous portion of fresh Vietnamese vegetables.
Wander along a street renowned for its barbecue seafood stalls and proceed to a local favorite restaurant. Indulge in the best "bo la lot" (beef wrapped in wild betel leaves) or "banh canh Trang Bang" – a special pork noodle soup, or a thick noodle soup with codfish pie, a specialty from Street Food Man Vinny’s village. Your exploration of mouth-watering food continues as you head into the food alleys in the heart of the street food district. Sample a delicious "bot chien", pan-fried rice cakes with egg and spring onions, prepared by a local chef with over 25 years of experience. Quench your thirst with a refreshing sugar cane juice mixed with a hint of orange.
Next on your food journey is Banh Mi – the iconic Saigon Baguette. Experience a perfect fusion of four delightful flavors with the very first bite.
Venture into the heart of District 3 to discover the old apartments of Nguyen Thien Thuat, which host dozens of famous Vietnamese street food stalls that are sure to tempt your palate. At the corner of Seafood alley, you'll sit like the locals and enjoy a feast of crunchy, munchy, sipping, and slurping BBQ seafood (if you have a seafood allergy, it will be substituted with BBQ meat). Complement your meal with local drinks, including Saigon Special beer, soft drinks, mineral water, and homemade Vietnamese rice wine.
Conclude your Saigon street food walking tour at the vibrant night flower market. Enjoy a delightful dessert such as coconut ice cream, longan ice cream, or flan cake with caramel and coffee. Your local guide will accompany you via taxi back to your accommodation.

We did a private walking food tour with guide, Tessie. The food was amazing and all of the vendors were so kind showing us how they make their dishes. Tessie was a wonderful guide explaining the food and regional dishes as well as the cultural importance of the dishes. Could not recommend Tessie highly enough !!!!!

Excellent tour! We went for 4hrs and tried so many Vietnamese dishes, I can't remember them all. Our guide, Jessie, was the best. Very knowledgeable about her culture, history, and food. She made the evening fun and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Great food experience with an enthusiastic guide

Phuong was a great guide and had great food choices. She was very kind and gracious and was too polite to eat with us. Fortunately the excess food didn’t go to waste. She had one eatery wrap the food up and gave it to someone in need on the street. Tip: don’t eat much the day of the tour. Too much food for us to eat. All of it was good. She got some durian for us to try so she was very flexible and accommodating.

Catherine and Minzy were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable about the area and took us to some great spots; treating us to food we would have had no idea about if we had of gone out by ourselves. Highly recommend this tour if you’re ever in Ho Chi Minh.
