Paella originated in Valencia, and this hands-on evening class will teach you the authentic recipe, not a simplified version for tourists. You'll learn to prepare traditional Valencian paella with meat and vegetables, just as local families have done for generations. No seafood or shortcuts are used; only genuine techniques from Valencian chefs who grew up making it.
Join our intimate group workshop after the city has cooled down and master the essential secrets: achieving the perfect socarrat (the coveted crispy rice crust), using Albufera rice from Valencia's own fields, and expertly balancing saffron.
While your paella is simmering, you'll participate in a sangria-making workshop and sample traditional tapas. Afterward, you'll sit down to enjoy your culinary creation, accompanied by local wine, salad, mistela, and homemade dessert. It's the ideal way to conclude your day in Valencia.

We aim to teach you how to cook one of the world's most famous dishes, Valencian Paella. Rice is its primary ingredient, followed by chicken and vegetables.
We will gather in our kitchen. Our session begins with a sangria workshop, complemented by delicious, freshly prepared tapas and drinks.
Next, we'll divide into groups to start the paella workshop. You'll discover the essential ingredients for an authentic Valencian paella, using fresh produce sourced from the Ruzafa market.
Our chef will guide you step-by-step through the secrets of a perfect paella, and you will be the one cooking it.
As we cook, we'll delve into Valencian customs and culture.
Once completed, we will all sit down to savor the paella. We will serve it with a traditional Valencian tomato salad, local wines, seasonal fruit, a typical Valencian sponge cake, sweet wine, and coffee.
Your mobile or paper ticket is accepted. One ticket is required per booking.
