Your tour begins with an afternoon pick-up from Reykjavik.
Departing from the capital, you will head towards your first destination: Thingvellir National Park.
· Non-stop passage
2 Thingvellir National Park
Thingvellir is a site of significant geological and historical importance.
It is here that the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates are drifting apart.
The park also hosts the Althingi, the world's oldest parliament, founded in 930 AD.
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and power of this unique national park before proceeding to the Geysir hot spring area.
· 40 min
3 Site de Geysir
The Geysir area is renowned for its spouting geysers.
Witness the Strokkur geyser erupt, shooting water up to 25-40 meters into the air.
This incredible spectacle is a must-see; be sure to have your camera ready.
Strokkur erupts approximately every 8 to 10 minutes.
· 30 min
4 Gullfoss Falls
The final highlight of your Golden Circle tour is the breathtaking Gullfoss Waterfall, also known as the Golden Falls.
As Iceland's most popular waterfall, Gullfoss cascades 32 meters in two tiers, offering fantastic photo opportunities.
After admiring the stunning scenery, you will begin your journey back to Reykjavik.
Expect to arrive back in Reykjavik around 18:00 PM.
· 40 min
5 Kerid Crater
Kerið crater is a geological marvel formed over 6,500 years ago when a volcanic eruption caused a cone-shaped volcano to collapse, leaving behind the striking crater.
Over time, the crater filled with water, creating a vivid blue lake within its caldera.
The vibrant blue-green waters and the contrasting red volcanic rock make Kerið a visually stunning destination.
The caldera measures 270 meters in diameter with walls up to 55 meters high.
Enjoy panoramic views from the rim, or take a 20-minute loop walk around the lake for unique photo opportunities.
Kerið offers a different beauty in summer with green moss against red rocks, and in winter with snow-covered slopes and a frozen lake.

Definitely worth it
Mark_F, October 2026
No complaints here. Tour felt relaxed, but efficient. Theb volcano, geyser, tectonic plates and waterfalls were very interesting and didn't require much walking unless you wanted to. I think the were bathrooms available at all but one stop and they were free. Our gude/driver was Biergvin and he was excellent.

A Must Do Trip
JDA60, October 2026
Our guide was excellent and a couple of spots on the trip defy description. The pickup was fine but a little confusing as multiple tours pickup at the same location. The tour starts with a visit to a bakery for coffee and a pastry, as good as they were it wasn’t necessary and I’d rather have the time at other locations. The next stop is the crater which is impressive (if you have mobility issues this might not be for you), then there is a stop to see some Icelandic Horses, beautiful animals but I felt like we were at a petting zoo and could also skip this part. Then Gullfoss, the pictures of Gullfoss don’t do it justice and it is incredible (if you have problems with stairs you might want to skip) then the Geyser and lunch. The last stop is in the National Park and to be honest I would have loved more time here as it is spectacular.
My one complaint was the van was cramped and uncomfortable.
Wear waterproof clothing and don’t be an @$$ and block the walk ways to take your ego image (selfie) or IG post and don’t duck under the ropes to get a photo in the environmentally sensitive areas.

Landscape highlights
zainahu, October 2026
This was a great way to pack in many sights in a half-day tour. Some highlights included a national park and walking between two tectonic plates, seeing the geysers erupt, and of course beautiful waterfalls. It was also cool to see an actual crater. Our tour guide was great and we even got to pass by a horse farm to see some Icelandic horses. If you don't want to take our a full day, this is a great way to see some of the natural highlights of Iceland.
Response from the operator · Aliona Baklanova Hi there, packing that many natural highlights into half a day and still having time for horses is the afternoon format proving you don’t need a full day to see what matters. A great guide who adds a horse farm stop is reading the group well. Glad it worked for your schedule.
