Worth doing at the start. Host (she is called Thunder) had incredible knowledge of the history behind the food we tried and took us places we would not have gone to ourselves

Saw a really cool side of Kyoto
Marvin_P, October 2026
We had a great time on this tour. Thunder was real nice, funny and full of great information, not only about the food, but also history and the culture. While I didn't enjoy every bite of food, the tour itself was top notch. The tour also pulled us to a part of Kyoto we had not visited before and now we can't wait to go back. You will try several types of food and several variations within each style.

Great experience

Your guide will take you to 3 different restaurants. Our wonderful guide Yuvia was knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to sit down to experience the food and enjoy each other’s company. We had a mixture of delicious food, sushi, tempura, takoyaki and taiyaki for dessert! A little history of the Gion district was provided too. I would recommend this tour!
